Aaaaannnd yes, it’s finally here! The long wait is over:
Hello there! Can I crack the egg? 🙂
Just so you know, I am Jan – Patrik Birondo Laroya, 21, Philippines! HAHA!
So, what will you expect to see here? Well, pretty much a lot of things, things about me of course! haha. So if you hate me or you don’t feel like me, but you happen to stumble upon this post, better leave this site now and block it in your browsers as you will just be bombarded with everything about me as you go below this paragraph. You’ve been warned, huh?
I first announced that I am going to finally have a personal blog during the wee hours of the morning last August 24, my 21st birthday.
A friend asked me:
“Pat, kadami mo ng blogs. Do you think you can manage them?”.
Then, I realized.. Oo nga naman. This is actually my third domain name. For your information, I am the proud owner of Blue PAD – Portal for Ateneans of Davao, the blog I created for the Ateneo studentry (unofficial) which I have to admit, is slightly patterned after US hit series Gossip Girl.
I also own Bunsoi Magazine – The Philippines’ Ultimate Online Teen Magazine. Yabang ng tag line ko noh? HAHA. Well, it used to be two years ago when I was THAT active in blogging. Bunsoi Magazine is actually my very first serious blog (by that I mean, I used to own several blogs when I was in highschool but I was never serious about updating them). It is my pathetic online money making machine which brings me Google Adsense dollars at the end of the month whenever they become due. I know that blog is pathetic, but that stupid and nonsense blog is the one responsible for my new clothes
every wash day every OTHER wash day in school. *baka ma issue* HAHA. ‘Nuff said.
Anyway, this blog will serve as my online persona in addition to my social networking site accounts. What are my reasons in putting up this blog?
You guys might be wondering why I created this site.
Well basically, it’s because of this: I love to write. Writing has always been my passion since elementary. Now, you might ask: then why’s Accountancy your f*ckin’ course?
Simple. I heavily considered ECONOMIC INCENTIVES. Mukhang pera po ako. HAHA. Kiddin’ aside, I am just being practical. There’s no concrete future if I enrolled myself to a Mass Communication course or any related field.
So why do I love to write? It’s because in writing, I get to express myself well. I get to release my ideas, views and opinions on various issues and publish it for the world to see. This is one power of blogging that I like. The moment I hit the Publish button, it’s already for world’s consumption. HAHA.
Also, I have this weird mouth that talks and talks and talks randomly and insensitively that I usually end up having arguments with people. Sometimes I feel blessed having a spontaneous mouth like this but sometimes, I do regret having one. HAHA.
At the very least, with this blog, I will be able to express my emotions even better and with utmost prudence. *since I can just edit/revise words in my posts in an instant if I happen to commit technical mistakes and if I happen to seriously hurt people * *evil grin*
What will I blog about?
This blog will contain stuffs from my very boring academic life to yet another boring aspect of my life — lovelife. Somebody make this dude happy! SERIOUSLY!? HAHA. This will also contain posts about my experiences in restaurants I have visited, reviews about movies I have watched, latest songs I’m currently listening into, and even my constructive takes on important matters that affect our society and issues that are of national concern. Oh diba? AKO NA! ME ALREADY! HAHA 🙂
Of course, along the way you would be seeing random rants in my posts but I do not necessarily intend to make this personal blog of mine an online ranting station *haha!*
I’ll be sharing personal experiences that may be of interest and of relevance to others.
I encourage commenting on this blog as I have always believed that reader participation is integral to the development of one’s character and one’s blog.
Trivia: I once bought the domain name, jpblaroya.com pero never ko siya nagamit. Meaning, I just bought it for the heck of it but was never really able to utilize it as a personal blog. It just stood there for one long year, post-less and comment-less, until it officially expired last March. hehe.
